1 Tomato sauce for meatballs | |
2 slices bread |
put the bread into the blender and make fine breadcrumbs preheat the oven to 200C |
1 onion 1 clove garlic 1 tbsp dijon mustard 1 tbsp olive oil |
finely chop the onions and garlic gently fry them, and add the mustard half way thru |
2 tbsp dried oregano 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 dried chilli 2 tsp salt black pepper |
crush the cumin seeds and chilli mix dry ingredients with the breadcrumbs |
1 kg minced beef 1 egg yolk |
add mince, onions and egg yolk shape 24 compact balls by rolling between your hands |
3 tbsp olive oil |
fry the meatballs till brown all over |
2 handfuls fresh basil 100 g mozzarella cheese 50 g parmesan cheese |
put the meatballs in an oven dish cover with tomato sauce sprinkle with ripped basil and crumbled mozzarella cook for 20 minutes untim cheese is golden |
